I just wanted to get started by saying welcome to appseclive.org

Matt and I are really looking forward to growing this into a community where web application security folks can gather and discuss aspects and details of their field. There are a few goals that I personally have for the site.

I would love to see this site be a resource for any and every level of experience and knowledge. The only way to make a major, long term impact in the application world is through education.

Also, I would like to see appseclive.org work hand-in-hand with other app sec organizations, such as OWASP, to become the central communication hub for everyone in the app sec community.

Basically, it would be great to help the community, and make strides in the right direction for the overall security of web apps everywhere.

The fact that the OWASP Live CD lives here is no mistake, Matt has built a fantastic resource with the Live CD, and in order to make it even more useful, we are now providing this site as a support, training, and education resource.

Now that all that sappy stuff is over, lets get down to business....

A few things in the works....

• Tutorials- We are working on several tutorials now, and I've just finished one of the first. Most of these are in the Books section of the site. If there are certian things you'd like to see, let us know!
• Forums- This is hopefully going to be hugely useful, as I don't where else to find a forum dealing primarily with Web App Sec. If we need to create more forums, let us know!

All of this to say that we are in the early stages of evolution, and we are all about the community, so if you think we are missing something, let us know!!!!!
